"What are you chasing after"
Buy Nothing Day started as a way to call attention to the global effects of consumerism. This annual event is celebrated around the world with the support of local grassroot groups. The primary target audience are the general public who are out shopping for deals on Black Friday.
The message we wanted our audience to take away is over consumption creates a social climate that equates consuming with happiness. The goal for this campaign is not to stop people from shopping, but rather, to make them stop and think about the reasons behind their purchases.
